Panteón Rococó

With Tijuana No! | Infiernos U.S. Tour

Mexican ska band Panteón Rococó plays San Jose Civic on July 24

Hailing from Mexico City, Mexico, Panteón Rococó formed in 1995. Since debuting in 1997, the band have released nine records and become one of the most vital ska bands around, with deep ties to both the Mexican punk scene and radical left-wing organizations.  Their music blends several styles of popular music such as rock, punk, salsa, mariachi, reggae, ska, and also mestizo-music into a very energetic, groovy sound.

The ten piece band have remained one of today’s must see live-acts of the Latin American rock scene, and have built up a following all over Europe as well as in South America. They’ve toured with the likes of Manu Chao and have performed at festivals from their home town of Mexico City’s Vive Latino to Germany’s heavy metal spectacular Wacken Open Air.
