Introducing Statesman Skyline Theater at the Long Center

Austin, TX (March 23, 2016) – The Long Center and Paragon Presents announced today a partnership with Austin’s largest media organization, the Austin American-Statesman. The Statesman will have exclusive naming rights over downtown’s newest open air music venue, the Statesman Skyline Theater at the Long Center.

Through this partnership, the Statesman will work collaboratively to promote the 7,000 capacity venue in both its print and digital mediums, reaching an audience of over 600,000 per week. Paragon Presents, the venue’s exclusive promoter, has added a number of impressive acts for the inaugural season, which kicks off on Friday, May 20 with country star, Justin Moore.   The season continues with BOSTON’s 40th Anniversary tour with Dennis DeYoung and the Music of Styx (June 11th), Steve Miller Band (July 26), and the Goo Goo Dolls with special guests Collective Soul and Tribe Society (September 11), plus more concerts to be announced in the near future.

For more than 145 years, the Austin American-Statesman has served Central Texas and is known for its focus on issues affecting Austin.  The naming rights partnership will reflect Statesman Media’s commitment to its growing business in live entertainment. Specific terms of the multi-year agreement were not disclosed

Statesman Skyline Theater at the Long Center is situated in the heart of downtown Austin, overlooking Lady Bird Lake.  The venue boasts picturesque views, hundreds of adjacent bars, restaurants and attractions, plus indoor and outdoor VIP areas with balcony-level views of the stage and downtown skyline.  The venue will utilize existing amenities offered at the Long Center during events, including indoor restrooms and air conditioned spaces, star dressing rooms and backstage catering.  Additionally, Statesman Skyline Theatre will use state-of-the-art equipment to preserve the production value and acoustic excellence that Long Center patrons have come to expect.
