Two legendary rock voices, Pat Benatar and REO Speedwagon, team up for their "LOVE ON THE RUN" cross-country summer tour with a stop at The Greek Theatre on Saturday, July 31.

"We are so excited to continue to add dates to this tour to bring the combination of REO and Pat to as many fans as possible," said Kevin Cronin, lead singer of REO Speedwagon.  "Since talking with Neil Giraldo and Pat about the idea of touring together, we have just been incredibly amped to get on the road and the more fans we can entertain, the better."

The 2010 Locally Grown concert series will once again present four nights of music featuring different genres each night in the Grove of Anaheim's front courtyard.  Each performance will have full production elements including dynamic lighting and sound and is open to fans of all ages.  All tickets are just $10 and parking is free.  The series is presented again by the OC Weekly and by KROQ's Locals Only show.

With a career spanning over 5 decades, Levon Helm is sure to captivate his audience young and old, with a rhythmic power all his own.  Helm achieved national fame as the drummer and frequently lead and backing vocalist for the RandB/rock group The Band.  His deeply soulful, country-accented voice and creative drumming style is highlighted on many of The Band's recordings such as "The Weifht", "Up on Cripple Creek", "Ophelia" and "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down".  In September of 2007, Dirt Farmer Music and Vanguard Records released Dirt Farmer, Levon's first solo, studio album in twenty-five years, which earned him a Grammy award for "Best Traditional Folk Album" in February 2008.  Helm released his follow-up CD, Electric Dirt in 2009.  The intimacy of the shows performed at Levon's hearth offer a hospitality and warmth found in no other venue, not to mention the excellence of the performances themselves, hosted by a man whose gifts are legendary.

The 2010 Locally Grown concert series will once again present four nights of music featuring different genres each night in the Grove of Anaheim's front courtyard.  Each performance will have full production elements including dynamic lighting and sound and is open to fans of all ages.  All tickets are just $10 and parking is free.  The series is presented again by the OC Weekly and by KROQ's Locals Only show.

All Days Are Nights: Songs For Lulu is the artist's sixth studio album and first new release in three years. The cover features a dark eye drenched in mascara and black eye shadow and depicts Wainwright's eye, which was inspired by film scenes from such classics as G.W. Pabst's Pandora's Box (1929).  The Scottish artist and filmmaker chose the close-up shot of Wainwright's left eye as the visual accompaniment to the album that in a simple, yet powerful way, unites his piano and voice.

The wait is finally over!  After a multi-year hiatus, Something Corporate is returning to the road on a multi-city tour during the month of August.  Frontman Andrew McMahon says, "I think the beauty of this reunion is that we waited until we were ready.  There is such a good vibe going between all of us and getting to play these songs again has been a true joy.  The festival dates have been a rush, but I think we're all fired up to get back into the clubs and theatres -- where we really cut our teeth for the first time."

The album is the second solo release from the System Of A Down frontman, following up his critically acclaimed 2007 solo debut Elect the Dead. As with Elect the Dead, Tankian produced Imperfect Harmonies himself at his home studio in Los Angeles.

"Where Elect the Dead was essentially a rock record with progressive melodic elements," Tankian says. "Imperfect Harmonies could be classified as rock because it is punchy with many peaks throughout, but the instrumentation is somewhat different. Though there are live drums, bass, and some guitars, the driving aspects are electronic and orchestral. It's quite unique in its sound palette. This is, in essence, music that has sat in the vat and matured to a ripe sensation and is now ready to serve."

Imperfect Harmonies is as powerful and musically eclectic as its predecessor. "I have been calling the music 'electro-orchestral-jazz-rock' because it has all of those aspects in prominence within the songs," Tankian says. "A few are more stripped down, but the majority of the songs have this huge wall of sound presented in a way I've never heard before. It's not common to have a song that is both electronic and orchestral since one is synthetic and the other organic, but I found a way of meshing a lot of these colors together."

The album has been influenced by Tankian's experience making Elect the Dead Symphony, a symphonic interpretation of his debut that had its inaugural performance in New Zealand with the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra in March 2009. The performance has been captured on the CD/DVD Elect the Dead Symphony. "The making of Elect the Dead Symphony gave me the confidence and tools to create ensemble pieces for orchestra more confidently and effectively than before," Tankian says. "And that became one of the primary colors for this record along with electronic, jazz, and live instrumentation."

Donald Fagen explains the genesis of the tour, "Back in the early 90s, my wife (Libby Titus) was producing little shows in Manhattan restaurants featuring mostly friends - musicians, comedians and so on. This grew into 'The New York Rock and Soul Revue' which toured nationally for two years and produced an album, Live at the Beacon Theater. The 1993 show featured, among others, Mike McDonald, Boz Scaggs and myself. The shows were such a blast that we decided to tour together again this year as the mighty 'Dukes of September.' We'll be playing the kind of RandB tunes that made us want to be musicians way back when, as well as select numbers from our personal repertoires. We've enlisted a swell group of players and singers - in fact, I'm so excited that I just can't hide it. Be there or be square, chillin'."

Boz Scaggs continues, "This time around, we're going a little farther afield with our trio, but the setlist in progress reflects the basic approach which is: out of the hundreds of songs we've picked out of the hat, what are the gems and how can we fit it all into a two hour show? How about Mike McDonald singing 'Hurt So Bad' by Little Anthony or doing Ray's 'Tell the Truth' or Donald Fagen doing David Ruffin's "My Whole World Ended"? And I might get to do Mink DeVille's 'Cadillac Walk' or some Curtis Mayfield. What I know for sure is that I'll have the best seat in the house."

The tour follows the release of their first-ever acoustic double album CROWEOLOGY (out August 3rd) andwill wrap up with a six-night stand at the Fillmore in San Francisco. Following the tour, the band will takean extended hiatus.
