Legendary rock icon, Steve Miller Band return to headline the Santa Barbara Bowl on June 16th, plus special guest Dispatch.
The 2013 touring season by the Steve Miller Band follows four of the busiest, most productive years in the long, illustrious career of Steve Miller, an artist at the peak of his powers, in demand around the world. The tour will feature his classic rock anthems such as, “Fly Like an Eagle,” “The Joker,” “Rock ‘n Me,” “Take the Money and Run,” and “Abracadabra,” among others, plus new favorites off his latest releases.
One of rock music’s all-time greats, the Steve Miller Band has sold more than 30 million records in a career spanning more than 40 years. His trademark blues-rock sound made him one of the key artists in classic rock radio. The Steve Miller Band is brand name rock that millions have come to trust.
How the members of Dispatch met is a remarkable story. Corrigan, Chad Stokes, and Pete
Francis met in college, formed a band, and — with no radio airplay, major-label support, or
significant press coverage — became one of the biggest draws on the live music scene, and
arguably the biggest independent rock band history. Not one, but three 2007 shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden sold-out immediately. “We all bring different influences to the table, whether it be Led Zeppelin, Traffic, Radiohead, or Cat Stevens, and just kind of throw it all together,” Stokes says. “The harmonies are definitely a focal point.”
