Kenny Metcalf as Elton

with special guests K-Tel All-Stars

Kenny Metcalf as ELTON plays City National Grove of Anaheim on October 30 with special guests the K-Tel All-Stars. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 10 at 10:00 AM via Ticketmaster.com.

Kenny Metcalf: Original touring keyboardist for Stryper 1985-86 tours and the current "frontman" for the tribute show "Kenny Metcalf as Elton" (KMAE). Kenny Metcalf as Elton & The Early Years Band is more than just a tribute; it’s "a show."

The group was hand-picked to be featured on Mark Cuban and Ryan Seacrest's network AXS TV show "THE WORLD’S GREATEST TRIBUTE BANDS" on season 1, Episode 5. They wowed a national audience (39 million tuned in) during their live-to-air performance at The Roxy in Hollywood, California, with a special guest appearance from Caleb Quaye. KMAE is known for performing a technically accurate Vegas-style production, featuring the wildly popular music, costumes, and antics of Elton John. They were invited back for a second LIVE AXS TV broadcast for a 90 minute special to 50 million viewers in 2014 on season 4. They are the only Elton John tribute to carry the backing/endorsement of Mark Cuban, Ryan Seacrest, AXS TV network, AEG, Katie Daryl (host of The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands), and Elton's original producer and original lead guitarist "Caleb Quaye".

"Being on AXS TV's (The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands) made us a National touring act. It gave us the credibility of a national TV network's name behind us. That instantly separated us from every other EJ tribute out there." - Kenny Metcalf

“Elton” as portrayed by Kenny Metcalf, has the voice and appearance of Elton John when he was young. From rhinestones to sequins, every detail has been meticulously recreated. Iconic costumes finish the illusion, including the infamous Los Angeles Dodgers uniform designed by Bob Mackie and glasses (created for Elton himself) by Ray Winston. Those fortunate enough to have seen Elton perform live, experience a sense of “Deja Vu” while watching the captivating performance given by Kenny. Audiences and critics alike leave with a sense that they “saw” Elton and his band. Caleb Quaye states that "witnessing this performance is like re-living infamous shows such as the Dodger Stadium show in 1975 where I (Caleb) performed with Elton. Being on stage with Kenny Metcalf was surreal!" Elton John has been a powerful name in music for more than 40 years. He is currently enjoying another wave of popularity. Now, more than ever, there is demand and desire to step back in time and experience the sights and sounds of this amazing artist. In tribute to his greatness, Kenny Metcalf and his band deliver. The entire cast of Kenny Metcalf as Elton & The Early Years Band skillfully re-capture the original album sounds in live concert settings, delivering a complete audio/visual experience that is guaranteed to amaze any audience.
