Last fall, José María Napoleón – El Poeta de la Canción – brought his emotional farewell tour to audiences across the United States, uniting generations of fans. From lifelong followers who have cherished his songs for decades to younger listeners discovering his music through their parents and grandparents, each night was a powerful celebration of his enduring legacy. Following an incredible response from fans nationwide, Napoleón today announces he will extend his farewell tour to 14 additional cities this year, including a highly anticipated stop at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on June 7.
The newly announced dates will kick off this spring on April 2 at New York City’s Brooklyn Paramount and continue through select cities before concluding on September 10 in Seattle. The tour features performances of beloved classics such as “Vive,” “Eres,” “Hombre,” and “Pajarillo” inspired moments of nostalgia, reflection, and celebration, with audiences often singing every word in harmony. Having had a strong hold in the industry for over 50 years, Napoleon has become the soundtrack to their lives. For many fans, the performances became a shared experience, parents introducing their children to the music that shaped them, and younger generations embracing the depth of his songwriting.
His influence extends far beyond his own voice, a testament to his status as a true legend. Over the years, countless internationally renowned artists have brought his creations to life, deepening and expanding his legacy. Among them are iconic figures such as Juan Gabriel, José José, Vicente Fernández, Luciano Pavarotti with his stirring version of “Celos,” Plácido Domingo, María José, Yuri, Manoella Torres, Mon Laferte, Carlos Rivera, and the historic Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, among many others.
