Independent promoter, Nederlander Concerts, ranked 22nd out of the Top 100 promoters in the world, according to Pollstar Magazine’s year-end report based on ticket sales (November 22, 2018-November 20, 2019).  Nederlander Concerts is one of the few family-owned boutique promoters with annual tickets sales of nearly one million, grossing over $56 million in ticket revenue. The company promoted and co-promoted events in over 40 venues, many ranked within the Top 200 venues worldwide, including the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

“This past year marked the third consecutive year of growth for the company, and 2019 was remarkable as the team promoted and booked over 440 events across the country,” said Alex Hodges, Chief Executive Officer of Nederlander Concerts. “We increased revenue, profitability, and expanded our business into new venues. 2020 is already tracking ahead of forecast with show counts up from the previous year.”

With shows ranging from Slayer to Baby Shark Live, Kacey Musgraves to Foreigner, Los Ángeles Azules to Gabriel Iglesias, and more, Nederlander promoted a wide range of live entertainment. The company doubled the number of events at Papa Murphy’s Park at Cal Expo in Sacramento since entering the market three years ago, increased bookings at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park (Austin) in Texas, began promoting events at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California and added shows at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland.

Vina Robles Amphitheatre, exclusively programmed by Nederlander Concerts, had a record-breaking 2019 season, ranked #67 by Pollstar Magazine, and experienced a 93% increase in ticket sales compared to its opening season in 2013.  In 2019, the venue hosted over 65,000 fans, sold more than $4 million in ticket sales and presented 12 sellout concerts at the intimate outdoor venue.  World-renowned artists such as Willie Nelson and Family, Foreigner, Sublime with Rome, Kacey Musgraves, The Avett Brothers, Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band, Los Ángeles Azules, Social Distortion and Flogging Molly, Peter Frampton with Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening, Cole Swindell, Sara Bareilles, and Jason Mraz were among the sellout performances.

Since first promoting in San Jose, Nederlander has tripled the number of concert promotions at both the San Jose Civic and San Jose’s Center for the Performing Arts, where the Nederlander Organization also presents Broadway San Jose.  Nederlander has presented shows in all four of the historic city-owned venues operated by San Jose Theaters, a division of Team San Jose.

The City National Grove of Anaheim, which Nederlander Concerts exclusively books, manages, and operates, ranked #63 nationally out of the Top 200 similar-sized venues worldwide. Last year the city-owned venue celebrated its 20th anniversary and a record-breaking year for concerts and special events.  Special events were up nearly 40% last year, with 154 special events (not reflected in the above mentioned Pollstar national rankings report). In the venues 20 year history, the City National Grove of Anaheim has hosted over 2.5 million fans and sold more than $51.5 million in gross ticket sales.  Last year, the venue hosted two outdoor festivals with over 10,000 attendees and continues to welcome co-promoters and rental business.
