NEDERLANDER CONCERTS EXTENDS EXCLUSIVE MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT AT CITY NATIONAL GROVE OF ANAHEIM

ANAHEIM, CA (May 12, 2020) – Nederlander Concerts exclusive management, operation, and programming agreement was extended at the City National Grove of Anaheim with a unanimous vote on May 12 by the Anaheim City Council.

Nederlander has been and will always be committed to providing best-in-class entertainment and special events to the City of Anaheim and its residents.”

 

Since 2002, Nederlander Concerts has programmed the City National Grove of Anaheim, bringing the hottest acts to the OC, such as Panic! At the Disco, Pentatonix, Jim Gaffigan, Ali Wong, Prince, Cuco, Impractical Jokers, Jamie Foxx, Sebastian Maniscalco, and John Mulaney, among others.  Nederlander has also presented Broadway productions in the venue, including Rock of Ages, Rent, Stomp, and Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth.  Family shows like Disney Junior, PJ Masks, Daniel Tiger, Sesame Street Live, and Peppa Pig as well as live podcasts and digital stars, including #IMOMSOHARD, My Favorite Murder, Digitour, Miranda Sings, and Lilly Singh have also graced the stage.

 

The venue is currently ranked No. 30 in the world for venues of its size by Pollstar Magazine. In 2019, City National Grove of Anaheim celebrated its 20th Anniversary of live music with nearly 50,000 in ticket sales and $1.7 million in gross ticket sales that year alone. Additionally, the venue hosted its first outdoor concerts with over 10,000 fans for Swanfest and a Sad Summer.

 

In April, City National Grove of Anaheim launched Block Party, a virtual series of music and culinary experiences amid the Covid-19 crisis.  All programming is free, and fans can engage by following the venue on Facebook and Instagram.  Every Monday from 1:00-3:00 PM the venues parking lot is utilized by Saddleback’s Food Pantry, feeding over 600 families in need.
