The iconic Mexican rock band Zoé have announced an extensive U.S. tour in support of its new album 'Sonidos de Kármatica Resonancia.'

 

When the band had finished touring behind their Grammy winning album 'Aztlán' in 2019, lead singer León Larregui felt a sudden urge to return to the recording studio right away.

The crisis hit the band members hard, putting their plans on hold. But there was a silver lining. Now complete after a turbulent creative process that lasted well over a year, the aptly titled 'Sonidos de Karmática Resonancia' may very well be Zoé’s most artful, mature and fully realized work to date.

From the melancholy synth-pop of “SKR” and the melodramatic atmospherics of “Fiebre” to the anthemic chorus of “Velur,” Sonidos de Karmática Resonancia boasts the trademark elements that turned Zoé into million-selling rock stars throughout the Americas: angular melodies, propulsive beats and the kind of addictive hooks that inspire you to dance, or daydream - or both at the same time.

This time, however, the wide encompassing mixture of styles – neo-psychedelia, hints of vintage space-rock, bittersweet touches of new wave delight – blend more cohesively than ever before. Zoé’s knack for generating cinematic moods is anchored on a collection of breathtakingly beautiful melodies.

Not only Zoé’s songwriting evolved, but also its creative methodology. For Sonidos de Karmática Resonancia, the band chose to collaborate with London-based American producer Craig Silvey – known for his work with Arcade Fire, The National and Arctic Monkeys – who had already produced a few tracks on Aztlán.

Now, Zoé is planning a return to the stages of the world, boosted by the anticipation of presenting the new songs in a concert setting – the band in its purest element, surrounded by their devoted fans.

La icónica banda mexicana de rock, Zoé, anuncia su nueva gira alrededor de los Estados Unidos en celebración del lanzamiento de su séptimo álbum de estudio, Sonidos de Karmática Resonancia.

 

En 2019, al finalizar la gira Aztlán, León Larregui, vocalista y líder de la banda, sintió una necesidad de regresar al estudio de inmediato.

 
La crisis puso en pausa los planes de la banda; sin embargo, el resultado de un turbulento proceso creativo de más de un año es quizá el trabajo más ingenioso, maduro, y completo de Zoé a la fecha.

Desde el melancólico synth-pop de “SKR” y la atmósfera melodramática de “Fiebre” hasta el melódico coro de “Velur”, Sonidos de Karmática Resonancia presume todos los elementos característicos que han convertido a Zoé en íconos del Rock alrededor del continente. Melodías angulares, ritmos propulsores y coros adictivos inspiran a sus oyentes a bailar y hasta a soñar despiertos- a veces ambas al mismo tiempo.

Esta vez, la amplia gama de estilos- neo-psicodelia, notas de rock espacial, y toques de new wave- se mezclan como nunca antes. La habilidad de Zoé para generar ambientes cinematográficos está anclada a una colección de gloriosas melodías.

No solo evolucionó la manera de componer de Zoé, sino también su metodología creativa. Para la producción de Sonidos de Karmática Resonancia, Zoé decidió colaborar con Craig Silvey, conocido por su trabajo con Arcade Fire, The National y Arctic Monkeys, y quien había producido anteriormente algunos temas de Aztlán

Ahora, Zoé planea regresar a los escenarios del mundo impulsado por las ansias de presentar su nuevo material en concierto. La banda se verá en su más puro elemento, rodeada de sus fieles seguidores.
